Season 2 Announcement

We undertook the The Moxie OT Podcast as a pandemic project that helped us connect with others and gave us a fun and exciting project to do together. Our mission was simple, provide evidence based resources to occupational therapy practitioners, to help them increase their moxie.

As our community has re-opened and our lives have gotten busier we’ve taken some time to re-think the goal of the podcast and reshape things a bit. We’re niching down to focusing on occupational therapy with adults. As a practitioner who has worked primarily with adults throughout my career I find I can go deeper and have better conversations when I’m discussing topics I am more familiar with.

I have loved the conversations I have had with pediatric therapists on the podcast. I have learned so much from these discussions and I’m a better OT for them. Thank you to all of the pediatric therapists who have joined us here in this space.

In addition to niching down our focus, we’re changing our release format to once a month. This change gives us time and space to plan some episodes that might sound a little different, go deeper into our topics, and spend time creating more resources.

Finally, here in Season 2 we are going to present a few different “mini seasons”, grouping episodes by topic. We’re starting Season 2 during breast cancer awareness month and kicking off our first mini season focusing on cancer rehabilitation. We’re excited to share with you four upcoming episodes exploring cancer rehabilitation from a number of different points of view.

What other topics should we discuss in our upcoming “mini seasons”? Use the contact us page to let us know.
